Industrial loading ramps
G4 designs and manufactures industrial loading ramps and yard ramps to connect the yard to trucks, semi-trailers and containers. We build standard and custom solutions, sized to the bed height, capacity and available space.
In-house manufacturing · up to 30 t · working height up to approx. 1,700 mm · hot-dip galvanised · custom solutions.
The steel structures are hot-dip galvanised to withstand the weather and ensure a long service life outdoors.
High capacities are available, up to 30 tonnes depending on the configuration.
They can connect the yard to vehicle beds up to approx. 170 cm high and are suitable for palletised and non-palletised goods.
The deck is covered with a wide-mesh anti-slip grating that prevents snow and ice from building up in winter and gives forklift wheels excellent grip.
Lifting is hydraulic and can be operated by hand pump, electric power unit, cordless drill or jockey-wheel mechanism.
Our standard and custom ramps are tested and certified to the applicable European regulations.

MOBILE YARD RAMPS
Mobile ramps connecting the yard to the bed of trucks, semi-trailers and containers, designed for forklift traffic.

CUSTOM RAMPS
Solutions sized to capacity, bed height, available space and handling cycle, including non-standard requirements.

DOCK PLATES FOR LOADING BAYS
Fixed or hinged dock plates bridging the loading bay and the vehicle during loading and unloading with pallet trucks and forklifts.
Technical features of our loading ramps
Solutions designed for logistics and industrial use, sized to the actual operating conditions.
Structure and protection
Steel structure for heavy-duty use, hot-dip galvanised for better weather resistance and a longer outdoor life.
Deck and safety
Anti-slip grating deck that gives forklift wheels good grip and limits the build-up of water, snow and ice.
Lifting and customisation
Hydraulic configurations with different operating options. Dimensions, capacity and height are defined according to the vehicle, the forklift and the space available.
How to choose a loading ramp
To size a ramp correctly you need to consider at least four things: the bed height, the weight of the forklift with its load, the space available in the yard and a gradient that suits the vehicle used.
G4 Energy assesses these data to define the length, width, capacity and lifting system that best fit the customer’s operations.
Typical applications
Trucks and semi-trailers: connecting the yard to the vehicle bed during loading and unloading.
Containers: forklift access where there is no fixed loading dock.
Industrial logistics: handling pallets, materials and goods in plants, warehouses and storage areas.
Loading ramp FAQs
Some of the questions we are asked most often before sizing a solution.
What capacity should a ramp have?
The capacity depends on the weight of the forklift, the load being handled and the operating conditions. Sizing is checked against the real application.
Can a mobile ramp be used with containers?
Yes, as long as height, length and gradient are compatible with the container and the handling equipment used.
Can the ramps be used outdoors?
Hot-dip galvanised structures are designed for outdoor use and to withstand the weather.
Do you build custom ramps?
Yes. We can customise dimensions, capacity, working height and configuration to suit the space and the logistics cycle.
Do you also supply dock plates?
Yes. We supply dock bridging solutions, including fixed or hinged plates for pallet trucks and forklifts.
How to choose the right ramp
Four pieces of information are what we need most to find the right configuration. With them we can size the ramp without over- or under-specifying it.
01
Bed height
Minimum and maximum height of the trucks or containers you load.
02
Forklift + load
Forklift weight and the maximum load carried across the ramp.
03
Available space
Usable yard length and the space needed for manoeuvring.
04
Intended use
How often it is used, outdoor conditions and the types of vehicle served.
